Short answer
HomeStars is a Canadian directory where you post a job for free and interested pros respond, which suits renovations and trade work where you want quotes. Fixgent is a booking app for everyday jobs (assembly, cleaning, moving help, handyman) where you pick a Tasker by rate and reviews and book a time. Fixgent is not taking bookings in Canada yet.
